Curriculum Vitae
A geologist with a passion for applied mineralogy and building materials — from cultural heritage preservation to modern construction innovations and future space applications.
Work Experience
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Working within the "Space It Up" project funded by ASI and MUR. Research focuses on characterization of terrestrial analogues and lunar regolith simulants for extraterrestrial construction, optimizing new mix formulations.
Research Assistant
Research focused on surface modification techniques and chemical etching processes for material characterization and enhancement.
Marie Skłodowska-Curie ESR 3
Developing self-cleaning lime-based materials through biomimetic approaches. Project: "Lime-based mortars and plasters with added functionality: a biomimetic approach".
Research Contract
Research focused on the rheology and study of injection grouts for use in Pompeii. Collaboration with the Getty Institute and Prof. Gilberto Artioli.
Civil Service — Environmental Office
Exposure to public administration and land management. Direct involvement in geological reporting and contaminated site remediation. Interrupted due to Covid-19.
Erasmus+ Traineeship
Interdisciplinary research on carbonation processes and durability in alternative binders. Techniques: XRD, XRD2D, Raman, IR, XRF, SEM (WDS, EDS), TEM, mechanical testing.
